Black Bean Burgers




**Ingredients:**


* 1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed

* 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

* 1 egg

* 1/4 cup chopped onion

* 1 tablespoon chili powder

* 1 teaspoon cumin

* 1/2 teaspoon salt

* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

* Vegetable oil, for cooking


**Instructions:**


1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. In a large bowl, mash together the black beans, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.

3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.

4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a small amount of vegetable oil to the skillet.

5. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

6. Transfer the patties to a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, or until heated through.

7. Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.


**Tips:**


* You can add any other vegetables you like to the black bean mixture, such as corn, tomatoes, or bell peppers.

* For a more flavorful burger, you can marinate the patties in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder for at least 30 minutes before cooking.

* Black bean burgers can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. To reheat, simply cook them in a skillet over medium heat until heated through.
